Draped Bust Dimes
Draped Bust Dimes were issued from 1796 to 1807. The coins were designed by Robert Scot and have a composition of .8924 silver with the balance copper. All coins were minted at the Philadelphia Mint. The coins were part of the US Mint's monetary system based on hundredths and was supposed to be known as a "tenth." The Mint Act of 1792 later referred to the coins as a "disme," which was later simplified to "dime."
